The Great Pumpkin!

Last night, we got to go to our ward party, eat awesome varieties of chili, cornbread, and homemade bread, and chill out with friends. I decided not to enter my white chicken chili into the cook off...mainly because cooking is a labor of love I typically reserve for family, usually when Andrew isn't home....  :)  Andrew did, however, make cornbread to share, which was awesome!

There was a costume parade, too.  Our munchkins got to dress up in their Halloween outfits, which apparently also necessitated them to become totally hyper and crazy. However, here are some of the pictures from the evening.

A Halloween family picture!

And the Great Pumpkin visited the party, too! He came after we sang "pumpkin carols."  I thought the kids would be scared, but they were instead SO excited!

I think it also helped that he also brought large bags of candy.  ;)

All in all, it was a great night.   The kids had an awesome time--so much so, that Jacob had a meltdown when it was time to go home.  He wanted to stay....even though everyone was packing up and leaving!  So, after that, Andrew and I decided to hit McDonald's for some vanilla cones, then went home to put the kids to bed, and we watched a scary movie.  It was a great Halloween-ish night!  I love this time of year!
